NYC with Josh

Last week I spent a few days in New York City with board meetings at Foursquare, Stack Exchange, Trello and a new company we haven’t announced just yet (coming soon). There is so much energy and creativity in the city.

It was also great to hang with my friend Josh. Josh is an amazingly talented photographer who sees light in a way that I only dream of. He’s also extremely kind. I’m grateful to know him.

San Francisco, California. August 2014.

A few weeks ago I was in San Francisco and went exploring with my friend Aaron. Tyson Wheatley joined us as well. I had never met Tyson but I’ve been enjoying his beautiful photographs for some time. It was a thrill to meet and hear his life story over a photowalk and dinner. Such a talented and super cool person.

Woodridge Farm — Sherborn, Massachusetts. July 2014.

A lovely day at the barn with Ellie. The horses are so graceful and majestic. And watching my daughter enjoying her passion is something that gets me every time.

It’s interesting comparing this roll of film from the Mamiya 7ii with the photographs I shared yesterday taken with the Hasselblad. Feels like the Mamiya is sharper but there is something different and appealing about how the Zeiss lens draws with the old Hassy.
