Lands End, San Francisco – 2019

A few weeks ago I was back in San Francisco. My last meeting ended at 6pm and there was plenty of daylight left. I went out to my favorite spot to catch golden hour and took in the wonder of Lands End.

Family trip to Los Angeles, 2019

Earlier this month, we spent ten days in southern California, looking at colleges with our daughter Ellie and enjoying the warm sunshine.

Joshua Tree, California

A few weeks ago, Lauren and I took some time to celebrate our anniversary.

We started the week in the desert, exploring and hiking in Joshua Tree National Park and Coachella Valley Preserve. I visited Joshua Tree on my own a few years back and it was so much better to make the return trip with my wife.

After a few days we drove west and spent the rest of the week relaxing at the beach. The west side of LA has really grown on me.

Twenty three years and counting with my best friend. Luckiest guy ever.

A few days alone, in the desert

Earlier this month I attended a business conference in Tucson, Arizona. The conference ended a few days before I had planned to meet up with Lauren and the kids in Los Angeles.

So when the conference ended, I rented a car and spent a few days driving and exploring the desert on my own, as I traveled west.

I spent a night in Joshua Tree park. I had never been before and I was really looking forward to making the visit. The Joshua trees were beginning to bloom. Everything was so peaceful and beautiful. I made a two hour hike in the morning and just took in the solitude.
