why didn’t you answer my question about comments? cmon, dont be andreesen. be wilson. enable comments. why would you not have comments? :) your humble servant, steve kane

hey steve.

i’ve got no problems with comments. I’m in the middle of an experiment. I’m trying trying out new ways to engage with Tumblr Ask, @bijan or email. Or having others use their blog to weigh in on things they are agree or disagree with here (with new posts or reblogs).

sincerely yours,

-bijan

This is my central issue with Google ’s current design: now I choose what portion of my (public) posts you should be able to read. Shouldn’t you have a say in this? Say you’re an iOS developer from abroad (so I put you into my Programming Circle) but you also happen to speak German and be interested in my other posts, who am I to say you shouldn’t see them? That is, if you follow me at all. Because until I place you in a Circle of mine, my stream looks empty to you, much like the timeline of a Twitter user who has protected their tweets. Why would you even want to follow me, not knowing what to expect?

There was a point in the late ’90s where all the graduating M.B.A.’s wanted to start companies in Silicon Valley, and for the most part they were not actually qualified to do it. They brought the whole sideshow of the hype and parties and all that crap. M.B.A. graduating classes are actually a reliable contrary indicator: if they all want to go into investment banking, there’s going to be a financial crisis. If they want to go into tech, that means a bubble is forming.

Apex Manor | Under The Gun

I’ve had this on replay since I hit play the first time. Also, what Kirk said.
