A few weeks ago, I found a used Leica M6 in excellent condition. I love my Leica M9-P but wanted to try my hand at film.
The M6 is a dreamy camera. Completely mechanical and everything is manual. Press the shutter and you hear a satisfying click.
I stuck in a roll of Kodak Portra 400 35mm film and a wide angle lens and took it with me every where for the past week or so.
Film is a lot of fun. You really care about each photograph you take. It’s so nice to take 36 exposures over a span of days or even a week, drop it off at the lab and get the results all at once.
I like the grainy feel and the warm colors in these photos. I’m going to have a lot of fun with this thing.
