Tax Dollars & Pork
Yesterday I was talking to my dad about the craziness when it comes to how our tax dollars work.
We all pay our share of taxes. Some more than others. But it ends up being a vast vast sum of money.
Somehow we have allowed ourselves to sit by while public teachers are underpaid, while mininum wage is practically a joke, social services have been cut etc etc.
At the same time we have endless money to support a war that most Americans believe isn’t working, tax cuts and earmarks & pork projects.
Makes me nuts or maybe I’m just feeling like a revolutionary after watching John Adams on HBO all week.
